🎉 On August 13th, we celebrated the conclusion of the Pacific Dataviz Challenge with an exciting awards ceremony held in the SPC’s Grand Conference Hall. The event gathered more than 150 attendees in person and over 80 participants joining online. The ceremony was hosted by Léo Cann-Polydor, Data Analyst at SPC.
This successful edition of the Pacific Dataviz Challenge received an incredible 95 data visualisations from across the globe, with the theme of gender inequalities sparking lively discussions and strong engagement.
During the ceremony, the audience had the chance to view a video presentation of each winning visualisation. The attendees came from a wide range of backgrounds, including private sector representatives, business leaders, school teachers, and non-profit organisations, reflecting the growing ecosystem around this event.
We were thrilled to have two of the winners present in the room: Eliott Libner, who took home the Youth Prize, and Fiona Umpa, who won the Pacific Prize.
Thank you to everyone who participated, and congratulations to all the winners! Your work helps shed light on crucial issues, and we look forward to seeing even more talent in future editions.
